Hats off in 2010 Topps T206
Topps released some more information on their latest T206 release. There will be some special SP variations that pay tribute to the original releases that featured the legendary players with out their ballcaps. I personally think this is a pretty cool addition, and would love to see some more posed photos from players akin to the Mark McGwire in 1989 Upper Deck, or Bo Jackson in 1990 Score. I think that is one thing we are missing today is a little variety other than just standard game action photos. Follow to read more from Topps. Read more
The 2010 Team USA is coming to Topps and Bowman line
Topps released a press release about the players that will be included in Bowman, and Topps Chrome and other products through their agreement with Team USA. It should be interesting because the original image released seems to hint that the one per case hit in Topps Chrome this year may not even be a chrome autograph. It may be a paper stock one akin to the AFLAC auto’s. This should be interesting to see how it plays out. On a personal note, I am happy to see a good friend of mine, and a great ball player Jason Esposito highlighted by Topps in their press release.

Unnumbered rare Topps Parallels hit Ebay
We have seen plenty of backdoored cards hit the market over the years. From the Pinnacle 1997 Mirror Golds up to the recent wave of unnumbered Tim Lincecum 2007 Bowman Chrome Fake autographed refractors, but the auctions today may be a first.
A wave of unnumbered 2009 Bowman Red hit Ebay and could cause quite the stir. These are really the first examples of 1/1 cards being backdoored in bulk, in some cases dozens were released. We have heard stories over the last few years of Topps employees leaving, and maybe that is the cause of why cards such as this are surfacing. The biggest question with this is will we see more in the near future? If someone surfaces with a pile of unnumbered Superfractors how damaging would that be to the hobby?
It is a hobby to many, but when you deal with the value levels on 1/1 cards, it can become a business. It will be very interesting to see how this develops.

Topps to return to NFL?
This link came to my attention yesterday and has created quite a stir. Topps is actively looking for a new project manager to hire. Why would Topps need another project manager unless they were undertaking another sport?
The biggest rumor, and what we may hear more about in the upcoming days is that Topps will be back in the NFL game soon. With Upper Deck losing their NFL deal, it’s either someone steps up to fill the void, or Panini has the exclusive. The NFL did not seem to one a sport card monopoly originally, or they would have given Panini it when they resigned with Upper Deck originially. This story should be developing shorty, and could be big news in the Sports Card industry.

Updates to 2010 Allen and Ginter
Topps sent out a new press release on this years Allen and Ginter set, and it looks interesting. The few things that concern me and I have seen other posters discuss online were the fact that the autograph borders are now read, and some people were concerned that it will make it easier for pack searchers. The images of the fold out cards look cool, but concern me. Are those stickers we see on an Allen and Ginter Product? Read more
