2009 Philadelphia Football Images
We got a box from Upper Deck of 2009 Philadelphia Football. This is a tribute set to the vintage Philadelphia line with some new twists like game used cards and autographs. First pack I opened was the autograph. So was slightly disappointed with that but did get a Albert Haynesworth autograph, Frank Gore and Donavan McNabb game jersey cards.
NFL Rookies Get Served With Upper Deck
Got this piece in from Upper Deck about a dance off at the NFL Rookie Premiere. Interesting story about a little competition at the NFL Rookie Premiere. The part that made me laugh was the winner gets a signed jersey from Michael Jordan that retails at $1,699.99 and puts it on. Ahh to be a millionaire…..

We were lucky enough to have Chris Carlin from Upper Deck on The Card Podcast today. Click here to listen to his appearance! In his apperance we got the news that there will be two additions to the super popular A Piece of History 500 Home Run Club set. The first would be Manny Ramirez in a Boston Red Sox uniform, the team he hit his milestone home run for in Baltimore. But the second should be very interesting to see released. Click here for more!
It is the first ever 600 Home Run Club card, since he has been the face of Upper Deck since they first released back in 1989, they are releasing a 600 Home Run Club card of Ken Griffey Junior. So this should be a huge year for those rabid Griffey fans out there, there are 89 buyback rookies inscribed 20 years, plus we also had the exclusive announcement that Upper Deck will be inserting some buyback unsigned Ken Griffey Jr. rookies in to their 2009 set.
The final new piece of news coming out of our interview was about the 20th Anniversary set from Upper Deck. It will be a 2500 card set akin to the Yankee Stadium Legacy set last year. Listen to the podcast for all the details on this product!
