Panini releases first look at HOF Class Autographs
Panini released to Beckett Blog images of the 2010 HOF Class Autographs that have been returned to the company to be included as redemptions in 2010 Donruss Classics. The subjects in the set include Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Floyd Little, John Randle, Dick LeBeau, Rickey Jackson and Russ Grimm. Leaf Certified 2010 Football images are out
Panini America released the basic information and images for my favorite annual Football product, “Don’t call me Select, or now, Leaf ” Certified 2010, which will hit stores around the end of October.
The product will include two autographs and two memorabilia cards in every 10-pack box and there also will be six insert cards per box. Including two Mirror Parallels, standard inserts and two rookies numbered to 999 or less. Suggested price per pack will be ten dollars. Read more

Topps Platinum 2009 was originally slated to be Topps answer to SP Authentic, but then the NFL took away the license from Topps and Platinum failed to deliver on it’s hype. Panini Classics Football 2010 Preview
Panini sent out a press release on their 2010 Classics Football product, With an SRP of 6.00, 5 cards per pack, 18 packs per box, and 16 boxes per case. They state that the average box will break down to 4 autograph/memorabilia crds (At least one auto, 4 rookies, 2 legends, 1 parallel, and more.
The autograph checklist includes such NFL legends as Joe Montana, Elway, Marino, Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith. Rookie autographs will include all the hottest rookies like Tim Tebow, Dez Bryant and Sam Bradford. Also, look for cut signatures from greats like Walter Payton, George Halas and Bear Bryant.
Also bringing some uniqueness back to the stale game used market, there willl be game used ball pieces from Super Bowls including Super Bowl I and II. Click the images below for the rest of Panini’s preview.
Topps to return to NFL?
This link came to my attention yesterday and has created quite a stir. Topps is actively looking for a new project manager to hire. Why would Topps need another project manager unless they were undertaking another sport?
The biggest rumor, and what we may hear more about in the upcoming days is that Topps will be back in the NFL game soon. With Upper Deck losing their NFL deal, it’s either someone steps up to fill the void, or Panini has the exclusive. The NFL did not seem to one a sport card monopoly originally, or they would have given Panini it when they resigned with Upper Deck originially. This story should be developing shorty, and could be big news in the Sports Card industry.
Collector Claims Panini Bounty
Panini sent out a press release yesterday to inform those who have been frantically busting and searching through their Leaf Limited singles that the bounty for the Manning Brees #44 Insert has been pulled and Dawn McNew of Lehigh Acres, Florida is the winner! She turned an 11 dollar investment in to $1,500 and a box of every Panini product in 2010! Read more

Panini offers $1,500 for One Special Card
Beckett has posted a story about a special promotion Panini is offering one collector either already holding or pulling the 2009 Limited Pro Bowl Combo Materials card featuring Super Bowl XLIV passers Peyton Manning and Drew Brees and, most importantly, also bearing sequential number 44/100.
Panini is offering $1,500 dollars for this card as well as the collector that has the card will get one box of every Panini NFL product that is released in 2010.

We got a box of Topps Triple Threads Football in for review this weekend. This is one of the final NFL Products from Topps as they are losing their license. Is it an all out dump of product, or a hit. We had a VERY nice hit in our boxes with six autographs.
