Topps released some more information on their latest T206 release. There will be some special SP variations that pay tribute to the original releases that featured the legendary players with out their ballcaps. I personally think this is a pretty cool addition, and would love to see some more posed photos from players akin to the Mark McGwire in 1989 Upper Deck, or Bo Jackson in 1990 Score. I think that is one thing we are missing today is a little variety other than just standard game action photos. Follow to read more from Topps.
HATS OFF TO THE ORIGINAL T-206 BASEBALL CARDS
In tribute to the original T-206 baseball cards, the all-new 2010 Topps 206 features a very unique base set.
Each base card includes a shot of the player with his hat off…mimicking many of the classic hat-less poses on the original T-206 cards.
In addition, there are 50 short-printed variations picturing players with their cap on that can be found 1:4 packs. The subject list is as follows:
