2009 Topps Basketball images
We got a box of 2009 Topps NBA Basketball to review this week, and I have to say as a base product as an entry for collectors I loved this product. Unfortunately this will be one of, if not the last NBA product from Topps in the near future. Panini had the bar raised for base cards from Topps on this one.

2009 Topps Chrome Baseball Review
We got a box in of 2009 T0pps Chrome baseball. The look of it obviously was of no surprise, but when collectors opened them they were treated to one big surprise, On Card Autographs for the rookies! Follow the link for pictures!
Topps Tribute is BACK!!!
Topps Tribute will be returning with exciting stuff like quad relics including players like Babe Ruth, Pujols, Yaz and Mickey Mantle. The cards should be the same stock as the original Tribute sets. These cards have the potential to be fantastic! The only fault I can find potentially will be how will these cards look with stickers on them? We should see soon.

Topps sued over NBA autographs
Saw this story today at this link and it has been all over the net being discussed. Details are sparse so far, but what I have got out of a few friends of mine was that Topps did in fact pay players for autographs last year. They did not get paid for the autographs that Topps could not use due to the NBA contract going to Panini. This could potentially be a huge story over the next few months.
Bryce Harper AFLAC counterfeit hits EBay
This card has shown up on Ebay and caused quite a stir. It is the first Bryce Harper autographed AFLAC to hit EBay. This card was alleged to be given away at the AFLAC game signed by Harper. I contacted sources at Topps and they 100% guaranteed that this was not the case and doubts even the authenticity of the autograph on the card. So if you are looking at this please beware.

Topps Unique 2009 Previews
Topps today released some images of an intriguing new set. Topps Unique is a set that we should hopefully get some more news on in the upcoming weeks, but from the images it should include cards with full laundry tags, Logo Man patches, Buttons and jumbo patches.
Ehh Mistakes Happen….
I know a lot of bloggers when they see a mistake by a company feel that it is their call to arms and they have to speak of how it could be the death of the hobby. I got this card this weekend from Kevin Cormier after he posted about it on FreedomCardBoard.com.

Hunter Morris was on my team in the Cape League and I’ve ammassed a decent collection of his stuff. I have even given him some of his cards for himself and his family since they had no clue how many different cards he already had between 2007 USA, 2009 USA and 2009 Upper Deck Series II.
But a few of these errors have popped up on Ebay. If you search Stephen Strasburg you will find variations such as cards numbered 21/20. While some would like to hang companies for mistakes and prattle on about the end of the hobby, I just look at it as mistakes happen. I remember plenty of errors as a kid, or blank back cards. Heck I even got cards from Topps this year with no foil on them.
It won’t add value to the card, but it sure is something that is interesting as a player collector to get.
Upper Deck Sets Record Straight on MLB
Since the breaking news on Topps getting the exclusive license to use MLB team names and logos many were questioning where this would leave the future of Upper Deck. Here is the press release from UD on this matter.

My National View in Pictures
I went to the National last week, we interviewed TONS of guests, and streamed it all live via FreedomCardBoard.com and Ustream.tv. I got a lot graded and bought a few cards. I figured I would post some of Brian Lanning’s images, and scans of stuff that I got at the show. Hope everyone enjoys!!
