The wait is over and the Donruss Threads sell sheet has been released. The list of players in the set includes but is not limited to Hank Aaron, Brooks Robinson, Cal Ripken, Eddie Murray, Carl Yastrzemski, Carlton Fisk, lars Anderson, Ryan Kalish, Brandon Waring, Logan Morrison ,and Pete Rose and Rick Porcello.

The interesting thing on the sell sheet is the MLB logos on the cards. Has Donruss got some sort of liscense to make MLB cards again? This could make things very interesting!

Razor Gets Another One!

August 19, 2008 · Filed Under Baseball, Razor · Comment

Brian from Razor Entertainment dropped another bomb shell on FreedomCardBoard.com today and announced that Razor has signed #7 Pick and A Rod’s BFF Yonder Alonso to another exclusive contract.

Yonder is one of the first big name signees that you can’t get cards of at all right now. No Aflac, No Team USA, not even team issued Cape League Cards just Razor. Will someone like him drive sales even more of Razor products? Time will tell. We can also expect a big announcement from Razor on friday about their products, and we would love to have Brian on our podcast this week and maybe get an exclusive in there somehow!

Razor signs another exclusive!

August 18, 2008 · Filed Under Baseball, Razor · Comment

Today Razor announced that they signed another exclusive deal, this time with Peter Hissey, the 142nd pick over all of the Boston Red Sox.

This is another blow to Topps and Bowman Chrome because Red Sox rookies do a great deal to sell their product (See: Lars Anderson) So it’s another player that I personally would have gone after in Chrome taken away to Razor.

But doesn’t his hair just look tusslable in the picture we added to the post, I feel old…. Not just cause I turn 30 in less than a month, but because he looks really young, like not old enough to have a cell phone young….

Moustakas Super sells for over $1,000!

August 18, 2008 · Filed Under Baseball, Prospect News · Comment

Yesterday on EBay the Superfractor of the rookie that probably was the most hyped at launch last year, Mike Moustakas, sold for 1060.

Surprisingly, unlike most super high end cards, it did not sell to Wossa. We do not know if it was purchased by a collector, or someone looking in to it as an investment at this time, but we try to bring you the sale prices of the higher end Superfractor’s here, because, well, our site is named after them!
